Notre environnement est de plus en plus régulé, standardisé, quadrillé. Les espaces sont régis par des normes qui contrôlent les usages et les comportements. L’objectif du projet FACTION est d’observer ces fonctions par l’expérimentation d’actions de déplacement, d’occupation et d’infiltration. Ce laboratoire, par le biais de participants en uniforme, est à la fois basé sur des stratégies régimentaires et bureaucratiques. Le projet consiste à créer un contexte d’expérimentation et d’échange permettant de mener une réflexion par la mobilisation et l’amplification de la standardisation. Les terrains d’action visés sont des rues, des places publiques, des espaces commerciaux et des lieux de passage.

Our environment is increasingly regulated, standardized and subject to the geometry of the grid. Areas are governed by standards that control use and behaviour. The goal of the FACTION project is to observe these features by experimenting with actions such as movements, occupations and infiltrations. This laboratory, through its use of a uniform, engages with strategies of regimentation and bureaucratic. The project is designed to create an environment for experimentation and exchange — thereby allowing for critical reflection through a process of mobilization and by the amplification of the effects of standardization. The zones that are to be targeted for actions include streets, public and commercial spaces, and passageways.
